At Mombasa Aviation Training Institute we aim to provide students with the skills, knowledge, exposure and experience they need to succeed in their career objectives. More people than ever are now choosing to study in Mombasa aviation training institute.We recognize that they all have their own ambitions, plans and hopes for a better future. Our role is to help each person attain his or her full potential. We have developed learning programs facilities and support services that build on students' existing skills, Knowledge and experience. We aim to prepare them for the next stage of their lives be it in working or higher education.
Our Academics Departments
Aeronautical engineering courses deal with the mechanical, electrical and electronic principles of the parts of the aircraft including its engines, wings and interior communication systems which the pilot uses to control the aircraft movement.
Information technology courses deal with training on the use of computers to aid business processes. Computers are used in activities such as sorting data, recording information for future use, printing documents, searching information, sharing information and so on.
Aircraft operations courses deal with the study of all the activities around the aircraft including how ticketing is done, passengers are handled, luggage kept, air traffic control and so on.
Journalism courses deal with training students skills that enable them undertake activities such as newswriting, news reporting, photojournalism, news presentation and so on for the media houses or any organisation with intensive communication requirements.
Hospitality and tourism courses are designed to provide skills that enable graduates to prepare different kinds of recipes, prepare different meals in hotels, prepare beverages, manage housekeeping facilities, market hotels and tourist destinations, tour-guide visitors and so on.
Electrical and Electronics is broadly applied in areas such as industrial production, domestic consumption and in communication devices such as radio systems, television sets, mobile phones and so on.
There is a wide range of business courses offered with a wide range of exams bodies that examine them. Each exam body has its own exam entry requirements.
Freight forwarding courses equip graduates with skills to work in the logistics and transport industry. Major activities involve transportation of cargo through sea, air, railways or roads and recording of details of cargo, duty calculations, filing of waybills, clearing cargo in the borders and ports, insuring cargo and so on.
Apart from class activities, students have opportunities to participate in sports, clubs and voluntary work. A number of sporting activities that students participate in include football, basketball, volleyball, swimming and so on. Students have been actively involved in local competitions at county levels.
